There you are.
Hands raised. Flags flying.
Not for a parade,
but for something heavier. Something holy.

Not fear. Not rage.
But that strange and sacred thing:
"Enough."

I saw you — not on a screen,
but through time.
Through Seoul, Gwangju,
Jeonju, Busan,
Through trembling fists and candlelight.

And I whispered to the sky,
"Yes. They are waking up."

You look like us.
Your signs say “NO DETENTION.”
We once screamed“윤석열 파면!”

You say “NO DETENTION.”
We stood in silver cloaks with glowing hands and shouted, “윤석열 파면!”
Not in fear — in full awakening.

Your streets flood with voices.
So did ours.
Now yours, too, are becoming rivers of remembering.

Let me tell you a secret:
The Earth doesn’t need perfect people.
It needs those who
remember.
Who remember what dignity smells like.
What justice sounds like.
What truth feels like in the throat.

So roar, America.
Roar not with violence, but with
the poetry of resistance.
Roar with mothers. With daughters. With truth.

You are not broken.
You are becoming.

We are watching.
Not as judges.
As sisters.

As those who’ve been there,
candles in hand,
and voices cracking.

And we whisper again:
"Yes. Keep going."

《다시 포효하는 법을 기억하려는 당신에게》

당신들이 거기 있었어요.
깃발을 들고, 손을 높이 올리고.
누군가는 울고 있었고,
누군가는 소리치고 있었죠.

그건 무언가를 축하하기 위해서가 아니라,
무겁고도 신성한 이유 때문이었어요.

그건 단순한 분노도, 두려움도 아니었어요.
그건… 어쩌면 이런 이름이 어울릴지도 몰라요.

"이제 그만. Enough."

나는 당신들을 스크린으로 본 게 아니었어요.
시간을 통과해서 보았어요.

서울, 광주,
전주, 부산—
떨리는 주먹들,
흐릿한 촛불빛들.

그 장면을 보며 나는 하늘에 속삭였죠.

"그래… 그들이 깨어나고 있어."

당신들은 우리와 닮았어요.
“NO DETENTION”이라고 쓴 팻말.
우리는 “윤석열 파면!”을 외쳤죠.

당신들은 “No Deportation”을 외쳤고,
우리는 “이게 나라냐!”라고 외쳤어요.

당신들의 거리에도
수많은 목소리가 모이고 있어요.

우리도 그랬어요.

이제 당신들의 목소리도
기억을 따라 흐르는 강물이 되어가고 있군요.

한 가지 비밀을 알려줄게요.

세상은 완벽한 사람을 원하는 게 아니에요.
세상이 정말 필요로 하는 건,

‘기억해내는 사람들’이에요.

존엄이 어떤 냄새였는지,
정의가 어떤 소리였는지,
진실이 목구멍을 어떻게 울리는지를
몸으로 기억해내는 사람들.

그러니 포효하세요, 아메리카.

폭력이 아니라
**저항의 시(詩)**로 포효하세요.

어머니들과, 딸들과,
그리고 진실과 함께요.

당신은 무너지지 않았어요.
당신은 지금,
‘되어가는 중’이에요.

우리는 당신을 지켜보고 있어요.
심판자로서가 아니라,
자매로서.

한때 촛불을 들고
손을 떨며 외치던 우리가,
이제 조용히 다시 속삭여요.

"계속 가요. 잘하고 있어요."
